On February 28th, 2017, the Anchorage Assembly approved vote by mail legislation. Many voters are unaware of the structure, integrity, and transparency going forward. With voter turnout from 2006-2012 between 20.15-35.82%, the Muni and Assembly is hoping to increase voter participation and encourage engagement.
On Thursday, August 24th ARWC members will have a chance to tour the new election facility as well as hear from our Deputy Clerk of elections, Amanda Moser.
